Ive used this bag pretty much every day for almost two years. It has plenty of space to fill with whatever I need for traveling, and is durable enough to withstand a lot of abuse that I㒓治e put it through. It does it all while remaining comfortable with all of its padding, and not too bulky-looking like some of my 3-day bags do.
I have another cheap Molle bag that was issued to me, that couldn㒓泱 hold up to the daily requirements of stress from equipment while running, being thrown out of trucks and boats, or just comfortably storing wet gear. I㒓治e used this bag in the snow, desert, rain and everything in between, and have yet to notice any color disfiguration. After years of abuse, it㒓泅 finally beginning to get a small rip in one of the shoulder straps, that I will easily stitch back together.
Best bag, best price, by far. As with most of their products. I will be purchasing another one of these in black soon.
I ordered this bag, 2 hydration pouches and 2 admin pouches, from Amazon in April to use for hunting. I hated that the hydration and admin pouches are Coyote Tan and the backpack is Khaki, but I was willing to overlook that because I really want to love it. After using the bag a few times I found some problems I had with the comfort of the bag. Because I have the pleasure of living in the Southwest, it is freezing in the mornings and 80 degrees before lunch, so the bag is full of clothes most of time while hunting, when this is the case the bag is very uncomfortable because there is no structure to the back of the bag. The waist strap that comes with the bag doesn't do anything and constantly comes off. With a little creativity I was able to find solutions to my issues, I ordered a sheet of kydex to add support to the back of the bag, and I got a battle belt to make a more effective and comfortable waist strap. But now, after using the bag only once in the field, it is 2 different colors. The shoulder straps, bottom panel, and the side panels with the MOLLE webbing all the way down are ODG and the rest of the bag is khaki. I really want to love this backpack, but I just can't.
Loaded with 3-Days worth of gear and supplies we took it out in the field. Zero slip in the cushioned shoulder harness. The straps kept the gear tight and secure. The material kept moisture from the getting inside, it was durable (taking a few hits and slides), and made brushing mud and debris easily away.
MOLLE is unbeatable; in various locations perfect for all your gear attachments.
The compartments were impressive! Able to hold a Hydration Bladder, ponchos, XL tarp and Lifestraw all in one of the two main compartments, the other smaller compartments are conveniently placed and easily accessible.
Homeland Shield approved.
Before you begin reading, I would like to acknowledge one thing that many may be thinking before purchasing this pack, and that is the level of quality you will be receiving for the price you will be paying.
Without a doubt, this is easily the most bang for your buck. Having served in the Marine Corps, it was easy to notice the high level of quality once removing the pack from its box and comparing it to the assault pack I was issued.
Having taken this pack on multiple hikes in Hawaii, I have not ran into any issues. The buckles are sturdy, the shoulder straps are easy to adjust and the waist belt adds even more comfort. The padded mesh backing and shoulder straps allow your back to remain cool. As you may have noticed already, there is more than enough room to store just about anything you desire. A compressed sleeping bag, a couple changes of clothes, a few liters of water and some food can easily fit inside with more than enough room other necessities.
These are my reasons for rating this pack at 5 stars, but I highly suggest anyone reading this to try it out for yourself.
