The pouch is a little wider than other pouches like it, but this makes it easier to get mags in and out of the pouch and may have left room for stronger stitching.
The material is good both for protecting the mags and cleaning the pouches, but an additional strip down near the bottom might offer a useful degree of additional protection to the feed lips of the magazines stored in it.
Taller and shorter pouches should be available for longer and shorter magazines, both of which are currently being aggressively marketed by companies like Sig Sauer.
The metal shoulder strap loops can be a minor pain in the neck since they get in the way of mags stowed in either the extreme right or extreme left pockets of the pouch. The loops can be tucked behind the webbing strap loops that hold them onto the pouch in order to avoid rubbing against the magazines, but doing so every time magazines are stuffed in the pockets at either end of the pouch is a pain in the neck that offers no great benefit to the user.
The velcro on the outside of the front flap, the MOLLE and the shoulder strap don't really serve any function - these pouches are either going into storage or being thrown into a range bag, and the six pockets in each pouch doesn't begin to carry enough mags/ammo for a range session anyway. Velcro labels currently available on the market can identify caliber if attached to the velcro on the outside of the front flap, but not make and model, so identification still has to be by marker/pen. Making the pouches cheaper by leaving the shoulder strap, shoulder strap loops, velcro on the outside of the front flap and MOLLE off of the pouches would be better.
Very well made I really like it.
High value proposition - the quality of the material and workmanship are far above what might be expected at this price point. As the Brits say - "Well done, you!"
They're excellent well made and they fit my magazines perfectly.
Excellent quality at a realistic price. Exceeded my expectations!
